A strong collage of friends, travel, or everyday portraits usually has a clear viewing order: meet the person, understand the place, and notice the small detail that made the moment memorable.
Choose three roles, not three versions of the same photo
Start with a lead portrait that carries the expression, movement, or outfit. Add an environment image—a street, coast, café, or wide travel view. Finish with a detail such as flowers, food, a ticket, shoes, or a small object from the day.

Adjust the sequence for the moment
- Friends: enlarge the most natural interaction and use smaller images for individual expressions or the setting.
- Travel: establish the place with one landscape, create a memory point with a person, and close with food, signage, or architecture.
- Portraits: keep one distinctive face-forward image, then vary the supporting images with a profile, full-body view, or wider environment.
Arrange first, then decide whether the subject should cross the frame
Choose 2–6 photos in ONANY and let a layout establish the base. Reorder the most important image, check face crops, and make sure one photo clearly leads.
For more emphasis, add a well-defined portrait as a subject layer above the collage. Move, scale, and rotate it, then add an outline or shadow only if it improves separation. An out-of-frame subject is an accent, not a requirement.
A ten-second check before export
- Can you find the lead image immediately?
- Are two photos repeating the same information?
- Are faces, hands, or important gestures cropped awkwardly?
- Do the source photos differ sharply in brightness or color? If so, edit them before building the collage.
